Tone FRQ- Requires Respondus LockDown Browser

The prompt and text of the passage in question is on the handout. You have 40 minutes to read, plan and write your essay. (Students who have an extra time accommodation have been given the appropriate amount of extra time.)

N.B. You MUST write about tone! You can choose any of the other items in the prompt--or anything else you come up that seems to work--but make tone part of your response.

You may write on the prompt page.

You may use your handwritten notes.

You may not use anything else.

• N.B. LDB shuts down a student’s session if actions are taken that it reads as an attempt to do something unethical.  These actions include, but are not limited to, the alt+tab method, using a three-fingered swipe on the touch pad (aka "swipe away"), etc. If this happens, or if LDB “freezes,” students will need to do a hard restart and should be able to re-enter the assessment.
