Read the scoring guide and sample student responses and commentaries carefully (both documents are in this module), considering the merits of your own response to the prompt as you do so.

Assignment:  Write a brief essay in which you assign yourself a score using the criteria in the scoring guide. Explain why you believe this is an appropriate score for your response.  Go on to briefly discuss specifically the things you did well in your response and also things you may not have done so well.

 

Remember the mantra of AP scorers:  “Reward the student for what he or she does well.”
